As a firm, we recognise that some of the best training for our staff is specific on-the-job training and team counsel. Our Longview Learning Series is designed with this in mind to share best-practice and knowledge from across the firm on key topics in an interactive and informal setting. With such a strong culture and close-knit organisation, we believe that we can be supportive of each other’s development and learning to an exceptional degree.
Engaging with our Community

At Longview, we believe in the importance of being a responsible corporate citizen and making a positive contribution to the communities around us. We encourage and support our people to give back through a range of initiatives that reflect our values and aim to create meaningful impact beyond our day-to-day business. Some of the ways we engage with our wider community include:
Corporate and Employee Donations
Longview has a corporate donations programme and supports charitable fundraising efforts made by Longview staff on a matched funding basis of up to £1,000 per staff annually. Charities and non-profit organisations that Longview has donated to or matched the donations of staff include:
Diversity Project
Longview supports The Diversity Project, whose aim is to create a diverse and inclusive investment industry with the talent to deliver the best possible results for clients, to reflect society and to address diversity in its broadest sense spanning: gender, ethnicity, socio-economic background, degree discipline, LGBTI+, neurodiversity, mental health, military veterans and disability.
Addressing diversity in its broadest sense aligns with Longview’s aim and purpose. Marina Lund, CEO of Longview Partners, is a member of the Diversity Project’s Advisory Board.
Summer Internship
Each summer, Longview welcomes a cohort of talented university students to join us for a structured internship programme. Our internship provides hands-on experience in the asset management industry, enabling participants to work alongside experienced professionals, contribute to real projects, and gain insights into our investment philosophy and culture. The programme reflects our commitment to developing future talent and broadening access to careers in finance.
Engaging with our People

At Longview, the wellbeing, support and professional development of our people is of paramount importance. We engage with our staff in various ways to nurture our culture of collaboration and self-improvement. A few examples of how we engage across the firm:
People Development
Longview actively promotes and supports formal training, including professional exams as well as courses and seminars. We encourage staff to join appropriate industry groups and forums in their specialist areas, in order to build their own knowledge as well as their knowledge of best industry practice and the competitor landscape.
At Longview we focus not only on developing the next generation of leaders, but also identifying those deeper within the organisation who possess future leadership potential. We use Executive Coaching in addition to training, mentoring and education. Quality successors of the future need time and investment to acquire the skills and experience that they need to lead effectively in the future. Longview sees clear succession planning and the investment required as fundamental to the delivery of a long-term sustainable and successful firm.
